Liam Neeson has lent his vocal talents to a recent film that challenges the legitimacy of immunizations and commends ex- government figure RFK Jr.
Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that the illness was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.
The book's co-author, the executive producer, has previously authored books with far-right radio host the Infowars host. The producer took to social media praising Neeson's participation in the documentary.
The team of Liam Neeson have provided a response firmly refuting suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine sentiments.
"Many understand that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that should never be equated to rejection of vaccines," the response explains. "Neeson never has been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His long work with the global charity reinforces his long-held support for public-health initiatives."
The response continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the documentary's editorial content and that inquiries about its claims are best addressed to the creators.
As presented, the script spoken by Neeson includes several strong points:
It also references a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.
In recent weeks, Kennedy called on the CDC to revise its long-held position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is echoed in the film, even with a recent study from the World Health Organisation stating no evidence has been found.
Differing from the documentary's narrative, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Previously, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."
The documentary concludes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the finish of our story. This is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
